So, Taelin was sick Halloween:(  It made me sad, but he was okay with it.  Him and Amika gave the candy to the kids, and he played video games with daddy, so he was fine with staying inside.  Earlier that morning he wanted to go trick or treating around the house for his toys, so at least he got to go trick or treating that day:)

This weekend has been awesome.  Dalin got off early on Thursday and doesn't have to be back into work until Tuesday because of veterans day:)  We have had a lot of fun.  We cleaned out the garage, BBQ on the beach with our neighbors the Maholys, took family pictures, played outside, and watched movies.  Taelin got super sick Saturday, and is still sick with a bad cough:( I feel so bad for him.  Well, even with my husband days off, he has been nothing but helpful around the house and with the kids.  He cleaned the kitchen 2 days in row for me! WHAT A GREAT BREAK I GET TOO:) Thanks Dalin! You are amazing!

Today I am thankful for my awesome older sister Melanie.  Today is her birthday, and I wish we were closer so we could celebrate with her.  She has been such a good big sister and such an example to me! I look up to her in many ways.  She is an amazing wife and mother! Thanks Mel for being such a good sister and for letting me live with you when I needed it:)

Teaching Moment

I love it when I get to have those awesome teaching moments.  The other day Taelin was playing with his new favorite sword toy.  He loves it so much that he wanted to sleep with it.  The next morning he couldn't find it.  We searched EVERYWHERE for it, ALL DAY LONG, and couldn't find it.  We even said a prayer, and still couldn't find it.  Well the next day came and Taelin wanted to play with it, he still couldn't find, so we said another prayer and went with our day.  When we got back from the dog beach I decided to say a prayer to help find his toy.  I checked in his room again, everywhere we looked before, and his toy was right there in the corner on the carpet, it had fallen off of his bed and landed there (it wasnt there the other day).  I was so excited to show Taelin.  I told him to come upstairs to see what I had found.  He was so excited when he saw what I was holding. I was so excited to explain to him that Heavenly Father was the one that helped us find his toy, and that we needed to now thank him.  We helped him say a prayer and then he was on his way.  What a great teaching experience:) I love my Heavenly Father so much and I love that I know that He hears our prayers, and will help us with anything if we have faith in Him. 

Thankful day 6

Today I am thankful for books.  They are so fun to read to my kids and they are so educational.  I never thought I would be thankful for books, but my kids have such a love for reading.  I love looking at the pictures with them and telling them the stories.  I love how happy they get, especially Amika, when I pull out a book to read to them:)
