Voice of the Spirit

This is a great message!! we need to listen to the spirit everyday!
Last night I made this really good dinner that I got off of my friends blog...super easy..and taste amazing! It's called Baked Ziti. Everyone should try:)
Baked Ziti Ingredients:
1lb ground beef
1 cup onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 (32 ounce) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon oregano
1 (16 oz) package ziti pasta (cooked and drained)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet add ground beef, onions and garlic. Cook over medium high heat stirring frequently until the beef is browned. Stir in spaghetti sauce, chicken broth and oregano. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Stir in 1 cup of sauce into the cooked ziti noodles. Spoon ½ of the ziti mixture into a 13×9” baking dish. Sprinkle 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese and ½ cup parmesan cheese over the top of the ziti mixture. Top with 2 cups of the sauce, then add remaining ziti mixture and top that with the remaining sauce.
Step 3: Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes remove from oven, uncover and sprinkle the top with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Return to over and bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
(Makes 6 Servings)

That night my mom and I went to Relief Society where we learned about organization, so Taelin got a dudes night out with Grandpa. He had a GREAT time!

Crafts

Ghostly Handprints
I found this Halloween craft from my friends blog..where she found it from the CraftingChicks. I love things with little babies hands and feet, so I fell in love with this craft really quickly. It is so easy, super inexpensive, and a lot of fun.

This autumn wreath is something that my mother in law loves to make every year. This year we decided to make them for our FHE activity.

Sunbeams. 10.10.10

Today at church Taelin did AWESOME during Sacrament Meeting, but after that......ya.....it just got worse....he was so tired! It is hard to have church from 1:00-4:00 when his nap time is at 1:30. My mom took him during Sunday school so I could listen to the lesson, then she brought him to me so she could go to Relief Society. WOW...Taelin was a huge mess! He was screaming like crazy and was just not happy...but Bro Martin came to the rescue. The primary kids were practicing the primary program, and then were walking to there classrooms and Taelin decided to follow them. he walked into the classroom, and they were about to shut the door when I told Bro. Martin that my baby was in there. He so kindly told me that it was okay and that he could stay if he wanted to. HOW NICE!!!!! Taelin had no problem finding a chair and sitting down and listening. We sang lots of songs, Taelin's favorite right now is JESUS WANTS ME FOR A SUNBEAM, had some good snacks, colored a picture, and then learned about Joseph Smith. Taelin loved it! I can't wait...only 3 more months till he is old enough to go to nursery. I think he is going to do GREAT! Thanks Bro. Martin for saving the day!
We also got to talk to Dalin A LOT this weekend, which was so awesome! He graduates on Tuesday from Marine Combat Training and then fly's out for job training. He is the gung ho of his platoon, meaning he was the best motivator:)WAY TO GO DALIN! So he gets to have breakfast tomorrow morning with the battalion commander. I can't wait for job training to be done so then we can be together as a family:) I miss him so much...but only a little bit longer. And during this training we can talk on the phone EVERY NIGHT, and we can even skype:) (gosh we are getting spoiled:) Taelin likes to give secret messages when he is on the phone, so it's always so fun for Dalin to try to talk to him. We love Dalin so much and are so proud of him!
